About

What is an online tcg?

An online Trading Card Game is pretty much the same as a regular one, only it's all done online. You collect and trade cards in order to master decks, make new friends and have fun!

Aperture?

Aperture is a TCG about photography. Our decks feature different photography techniques popular photography subjects and anything that has to do with photography. We also have member decks, which are decks featuring photos taken by our members. We want to celebrate photography as a hobby and an art and maybe get you hooked on photography! However, you do not have to love photography to join, you do not even have to own a camera, you are more than welcome to join just because you like our decks and you can treat it as just another "everything tcg".

How to play

First you need to read the rules and join. When you have sent in your join form I will send you a starter pack containing 10 cards. This pack will consist of 2 cards from the deck you first want to collect and 8 random cards from other decks.

When you have recieved your starter pack you can start to play games in order to earn more cards and rewards. You can (and should) also visit other members' trading sites to see if they have any cards you'd like and trade with them. The whole point of the game is to trade with other members and collect all cards in a deck while making new friends.

We also have different trading levels, this sorts the members by how many cards they have collected. When you move from one level to another you recieve more cards.

Master a deck

When you collect all cards in a deck you have mastered it, fill out the master deck form to get your rewards.

Regular decks

Regular decks have 5, 10, 15 or 20 cards, because of the different sizes of the decks you get different rewards depending on which deck you master.
5 cards - 3 random cards
10 cards - 1 choice card 3 random cards
15 cards - 1 choice card 4 random cards
20 cards - 2 choice cards 5 random cards

Special decks

Special cards are worth 2 and are more rare than the regular cards, because of this you get more rewards for mastering a special deck than a regular deck with the same amount of cards.
6 cards - 1 choice card and 3 random cards

Trade post

A trade post is a page where you show off all your pretty cards. And I would suggest for your own and others viewing pleasure you keep it neatly organized. If I personally visit a trade post with cards all over the place and no system I leave right away and won't bother trading with them.

Your trade post need to include: It could be a good idea to sort your cards in these categories: Also, make sure you save the cards to your own server, no direct linking!

Trade log

You need to keep a detailed trade log on your page, this is to prevent anyone from cheating. A trade log should show what rewards you got and how. Example of a good trade log:

January 1st, 2009
- recieved starter pack: card02, card04, card10 and card02.

January 2nd, 2009
- played puzzle game: card01 and card07
- traded with Lisa: my card01 for card04

January 3rd, 2009
- sidebar freebies: card03

It doesn't have to look exactly like this, but you get the idea. An example of a bad trade log:

January 1st, 2009
- played games got 5 cards
- traded with Lisa.
